As part of activities marking the 2025 Civil Service Week celebration, the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (MLGCRA) is actively preparing to participate in the much-anticipated Civil Service Week Football Tournament.
The Ministry’s football team has intensified its training sessions, with staff from various directorates coming together to build synergy, sharpen tactics, and boost morale ahead of the games. The spirit of teamwork, unity, and healthy competition is visibly alive as the team readies itself to represent the Ministry on the field.
The tournament officially kicks off with an opening ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, 11th June 2025, at 8:30 AM. The event is expected to draw participation from a wide range of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, all competing in a friendly but competitive environment designed to foster inter-ministerial collaboration and promote staff wellness.
For MLGCRA, participation in this tournament is not only about the game but also about building bonds, reinforcing teamwork, and celebrating the values that underpin public service. The Ministry encourages all staff to support the team and join in the broader celebration of excellence in civil service.
